The thing about Fairhope, Alabama is that life just sort of slows down to a nice pace when you get here. That’s been the case here ever since Fairhope was established in 1894 by a group of people who came together with ‘a fair hope of success.’
There’s also quite an active arts community here, and if you head south down Section Street, you’ll find Yoga Birds, a place that is committed to ‘enlightening bodies, enhancing breath, enjoying life.’
Things are different here, slowed down—not lazy, just tranquil. Down here, what a lot of people call ‘hot yoga’ is known as ‘Tropical Yoga.’ It’s kind of like practicing on the beach in the summertime, no matter what time of year it is. The spectrum of offerings at Yoga Birds goes from this tropical party to alignment-focused, Anusara-inspired classes and slow, meditative, restorative practices.
Yoga Birds is registered with the Yoga Alliance and offers a 200-hour very extensive teacher training program. If you’re looking for a place to deepen your practice and gather with a community that loves and serves one another, Fair Hope has that slice of peace you’ve been looking for, and Yoga Birds is where you’ll find your yoga community.
Everyone knows everyone here, and if they don’t know you, it won’t be long before someone wants to share their story with yours. Soaring high, practicing with your neighbors and friends and falling in love with life—this is Yoga Birds and you’re welcome any time.
