This brilliantly renovated center features two studios in what was formerly a telephone exchange building in downtown Macon. The bottom floor studio is actually part of the room where operators would receive and direct calls, long before our smart phones were even imaginable. The studio epitomizes and is dedicated to the revitalization of the historic sites in downtown Macon.
There are actually two studios at Yoga Moga. The upstairs studio is illuminated by beautiful wood floors and walls, with state of the art showers and private massage rooms.
Yoga Moga is owned and founded by a pediatrician who is passionate about wellness and believes strongly in practicing yoga during the developmental years. Your kids are invited to regular and special classes, as well as personalized yoga parties.
Studios: 2 beautiful wood studios in a historic Macon building.
Classes: Everything from Yoga Basics, Gentle, Vinyasa and Hot Vinyasa Flow. Classes for pre-natal, 3 – 7 year olds & 8 – year olds to teens fill the schedule. The studio also hosts massage therapy and a Pilates studio, Cor Pilates.
Amenities: Bathrooms in both studios, super nice showers in upstairs studio.
Boutique: Mats and props available at downstairs studio front desk.
Flooring: Amazing hard wood in both studios.
Parking: No problems on the weekends, but expect more traffic on weekdays.
Vibration: It was such a delight to practice in the downstairs studio with local yogis and instructors. The staff features wonderful and knowledgeable teachers who make you feel right at home when you walk in the door. Pick an afternoon class and allow the energy of the sun to settle on your mat as you breathe and practice in one of the south’s most beautiful downtown studios – a must-visit, even if you’re just passing through.
